Snowboarding at ski areas or in specialized terrain parks is a thrill for people who want to step out of traditional downhill skiing for a new adventure. Most ski areas in Massachusetts make plenty of room for snowboarders to express their skills.

Choose from the particular challenges of three different snowboarding terrain parks

At the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in the magnificent Berkshires, snowboarders of all levels and abilities have their choice of three challenging terrain parks. Grommetville is the entry level park, with small features to allow beginners to develop some basic skills and confidence. Alex’s Park, at the base of the mountain, is a great place to hang and do laps. And Coyote Ridge is a flow park with a little something for every snowboarder, whether you are dialing in jibs, hacking gaps or just working on ways to up your slope style. You can rent equipment through the rental shop in the Thatcher Building in the picturesque Village Center’s upper courtyard. Check the website for several freestyle events and competitions.
