Halloween Brew Maze at Lyman Orchards Corn Maze
Craft brews + Flashlight maze = Halloween done right! Bring your spooky spirit this October 31st, and enjoy our Halloween Flashlight Brew Maze at Lyman Orchards!
Grab a beer and head into our massive 4-acre corn maze as you take on the challenge of finding your way out, with only a flashlight and the moonlight to guide you! Sample brews from some of Connecticut's most popular brewers and feel-like-a-kid-again playing giant Jenga, Connect Four, corn hole and more. We'll have an outdoor pop up bar and yard games ready for your arrival!
BYO Regular Ol' Flashlight Required (Phone flashlights cannot be used as your sole flashlight)
Arrive any time between 6:30 PM - 8 PM (event ends at 8:30 PM)
Last entry to complete the full maze is at 7:30 PM, and half the maze is at 8:00 PM.
Beer sampling will be set up outside of the maze, grab some samples and then meander through the pathways of the corn maze!

Hallowed History Lantern Tour
History comes alive on this lantern-led tour of historic Cedar Hill Cemetery. Character actors will share tantalizing true stories from some of Cedar Hill’s notable and not-so-notable residents. Advance reservations are required.
Houdini Halloween Magic Show and Curator Talk
October 31 marks the 100th anniversary of the death of the great magician and escapologist Harry Houdini. To commemorate this historic occasion, Anton Andresen, the Official Magician of Salem, Massachusetts, will present a selection of mysteries inspired by Houdini's extraordinary life and legendary career. Experience what it might have felt like to witness the world's master mystifier through astonishing demonstrations that capture the wonder and excitement of Houdini's performances.
Curator George Schwartz will offer a short historical introduction about Houdini's connections to PEM and Salem. Discover how Houdini's passion for handcuffs, escapes and the art of illusion intersected with the city's rich history and the museum’s collections.
A pair of handcuffs that Houdini saw when he visited PEM in 1906 will be on view September 3 - November 2, 2026 in the Main Atrium, along with other items related to his performances in Salem.

Halloween Family Fun at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium
Join the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Roger Williams Park for a weekend of Halloween family fun! Explore the Museum’s collections, complete a Halloween Museum Quest, solve a skeleton puzzle and discover some of the Museum’s unusual creatures and specimens. Stop by for a plasma globe demonstration and finish your visit with a journey to the stars in the Planetarium! The Halloween fun begins Friday, October 30 with a special 21+ after-hours ticketed event at the Museum. 10am–4pm: Not-So-Spooky Family Fun
Explore eerie specimens from the Museum’s vaults, test your skills with a skeleton puzzle, make your own spider hat, complete a Halloween Museum Quest, discover creepy creatures, and more!

1pm–2pm: Plasma Globe Demonstration
See electricity in action and watch glowing streams of light dance inside a plasma globe during this fun, hands-on science demonstration.

2pm: Journey to the Stars Planetarium Show
Featuring images from telescopes on the ground and in space and stunning visualizations of physics-based simulations, this show launches visitors through space and time to experience the life and death of the stars in our night sky, including our own nurturing Sun. Tour familiar stellar formations, explore celestial mysteries and discover the fascinating, unfolding story that connects us all to the stars. (General Audience)

Halloween at Old York: Trick-or-Treat
Celebrate Halloween with 18th-century-style fun at Old York, alongside the Town of York’s annual trick-or-treating.
Trick-or-Treating | 3:30–6:00 p.m.
Children can trick-or-treat at Old York’s historic buildings in York Village, including Jefferds Tavern, York Corner Schoolhouse, Emerson-Wilcox House, and the Old Gaol.

Pumpkin Stroll & Family Halloween Fun
We’re excited to partner again this year with the Children’s Museum, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, and the New England Aquarium for this year's Pumpkin Stroll. Stop by the Market for some seasonal fun with FREE family-friendly activities including Halloween-themed crafts, coloring, games, and more! Then, take a stroll along the Greenway to search for colorful pumpkins 🎃

Downeast 2026 Cider & Cheese Festival
The Downeast Cider + Cheese Festival returns to Ellsworth, launching a new chapter through a partnership between Heart of Ellsworth and Woodlawn.
Celebrate Maine’s cider and cheesemakers, farmers, and food producers while exploring the agricultural traditions that have shaped the region. Ellsworth has a rich cider-making history, with local cider once playing an important role in the area’s economy and reaching markets far beyond Downeast Maine.
This year’s festival brings that heritage to life with events and activities across downtown Ellsworth and Woodlawn, combining favorite festival traditions with new experiences. Additional activities will take place in the days leading up to the main weekend.

Community Pumpkin Carving
Help Old York fill the stone walls around the Old Burying Ground with pumpkins. Join us for a community pumpkin-carving event. We provide the pumpkin—you bring the carving tools! This event is held at the Old York Museum Center at 3 Lindsay Road, York, Maine 03909. It is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required.
Pumpkins may also be carved at home and dropped off at the Old York Museum Center on October 29 from 12:00–6:00 p.m. or October 30 from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. For more information visit oldyork.org or call.

Coyote Island Halloween Concert
Coyote Island is the musical vision of Maine-based producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mike O’Hehir. Assembling a band of brothers, they have blended folk roots, reggae rhythms, and psychedelic indie, the band crafts music that feels like a sonic escape.
From their breakout release “Here Before” to their latest album, Shadow Magic (2025), they’ve expanded their sound into deeper grooves and vivid storytelling—melding tropical textures, hypnotic beats, and a spirit of reflection. Described as both electric and transportive, Coyote Island’s live shows offer tropical psychedelia and a sonic vacation from the doldrums of existence.
