Patriot’s Day, officially celebrated on April 15, commemorates the start of the Revolutionary War, and is a state holiday in Massachusetts. Much of the activity takes place at or near the Minute Man National Historic Park.
Saturday, April 13
Battle Road Demonstration: Parker’s Revenge. On Battle Road Trail behind the Minute Man Visitor Center, Lexington. Hundreds of British and colonial re-enactors will engage in a tactical weapons demonstration with musket firing and fast-paced battle action along a stretch of the actual Battle Road of 1775. 1 p.m.
Monday, April 15
Lexington Battle Re-enactment on Lexington Green. British and Colonial re-enactors stage a reenactment of the early-morning battle. 5:30 a.m.
Monday, April 15
Commemoration of the North Bridge Fight and Concord Parade at North Bridge, Concord. British and Colonial re-enactors will commemorate the “Shot heard round the world” with a battle demonstration. 8:45 a.m. Immediately following, the Concord Patriot's Day parade will arrive around 9:30 a.m.
Thursday, April 18
Patriot Vigil at North Bridge Visitor Center and North Bridge. As darkness descends upon the North Bridge battlefield we invite you to come and reflect on the events of April 19, 1775 and the meaning of liberty. The evening ceremony will feature a lantern-light procession, poetry, music, and a recitation of the names of the Patriots who gave their lives. 8 p.m.

The Boston Wine Festival presents a lineup of intimate winemaker hosted dinners, seminars and receptions from January through March. It is the longest running food and wine festival in the nation. Featured events are Grand Opening Reception, the Valentine Champagne Dinner Dance, and the Valentine's Jazz Brunch. Receptions are walk-about events presenting 40 wines of a particular theme; dinners are four-course dinners hosted by a winemaker or winery owner; Seminars are themed, on topics like barrel samples, vertical tastings, horizontal tastings and blends.
