You’ll find that experience, and more, at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, in the heart of the Berkshires. The 2,380-foot mountain has a vertical rise of 1,150 feet and is set on 167 acres. Nine lifts, including a six-passenger high-speed lift, will take you up to the summit, where 45 trails await: a good mix of easy, low-intermediate, intermediate, high-intermediate, black diamond and double-black diamond. The resort has top-notch snowmaking capabilities and offers night skiing. All trails funnel back to the base area, so parents can feel comfortable when the kids hit the slopes. Rental equipment is available, and there are plenty of dining and lodging options on-site.
