Sailing with pride for over 60 years, ferry provides fun, comfortable journey to Vineyard

The roots of the Island Queen, the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard, go back to 1960, when the old Vineyard Queen brought 108 passengers from Falmouth to Oak Bluffs. A lot has changed since then, but not the safety, service and convenience visitors to and residents of the island rely on when they travel aboard the Island Queen. Today, the 522-passenger ferry makes the scenic trip in just 35 minutes, with passengers comfortably seated in an enclosed lounge with large picture windows or on the outside decks. There’s a full-service snack bar serving snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can bring your bike. Your pets are welcome on leashes or in crates. Parking in Falmouth, a charming Cape town, is just 200 yards from the dock.
