Phantoms by Firelight: Frankenstein Encounter at Old Sturbridge Village

Oct 3, 2026 - Oct 25, 2026 1 Old Sturbridge Village Road, Sturbridge, MA 01566

Halloween
As darkness falls over the Village, lanterns flicker, fog rolls across the landscape, and a new story comes to life. This October, step into the world of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein during Phantoms by Firelight: Frankenstein Encounter, an immersive nighttime experience at Old Sturbridge Village.

You won't simply watch the story unfold—you'll walk through it.

After dark, the Village's 1830s setting transforms into an atmospheric world inspired by Shelley's classic 1818 novel. Follow fire-lit paths through the historic Village as scenes unfold around you, bringing the story of Frankenstein to life in an experience where you're part of the narrative.

Running for just 11 nights, this limited October experience offers an unforgettable evening of immersive theater, historic surroundings, and the eerie atmosphere of a New England night.
