When you’re on the beach, do you like to drift along in a dreamy saunter, gazing across the waves and admiring the boats? Or do you love to run, hoot, splash, and poke through the tiny lives hiding in tide pools? A pre-beach-visit immersion in either of the major strains of cannabis – indica for mellowing purposes; sativa to incite energy and curiosity – can add a layer of pleasure to any beach visit. Massachusetts has all the beaches—style-wise. If you plan to swim, surf, or paddleboard, be aware of safety at all times, especially if cannabis has softened the edges of your reflexes.
On Cape Cod, there are calm bayside beaches with long sand flats or tall, Oceanside bluffs. North and south of Boston, stretching from Newburyport though Gloucester and Rockport, past the Boston Harbor Islands and then down toward Plymouth, the variety of beaches – many in charming, rocky coves – is a delight. Don’t forget, the effects of marijuana are fine company at the many freshwater beaches on beautiful inland lakes in Massachusetts. Bear in mind, though, that it is unlawful to smoke on the beach or anywhere outdoors.
