With its location in Marblehead’s quaint harbor district, the Harbor Light Inn is ideal for couples seeking intimate weddings with a coastal atmosphere. A private room can be arranged to host your ceremony and reception or just reception: It can comfortably accommodate 25 people for a sit-down dinner or 50 for a cocktail reception. The concierge can help with arrangements for a florist, photographer, caterer – even a yacht to charter for a spectacular ceremony! Overnight guests will find accommodations at the inn serene and memorable, from rooms with high ceilings and exposed original beams to rooms with fireplaces or jetted tubs. A perfect wedding-night room features an expansive private rooftop deck with views of the historic district. Individual breakfast trays are provided for all inn guests.

Exchange your vows in a colorful seaside garden by an historic mansion with harbor and ocean views as a backdrop. Have a reception under a tent on the property’s Seaside Lawn. That’s the magical atmosphere at The House of the Seven Gables, where waterfront weddings are truly one-of-a-kind. The famous Gables house was, of course, the inspiration for Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Gothic novel. And you can create your own story to remember by choosing a ceremony in the property’s Seaside Gardens or a landscaped side lawn. The Seaside Lawn hosts up to 180 people for dinner and dancing; 250 for a standing reception. More intimate receptions can be held in historic interior rooms, including in the Hooper-Hathaway House, built in 1682.
