The USS Constitution – “Old Ironsides” – the oldest active ship in the U.S. Navy and the world’s oldest commissioned warship still afloat, resides at the Charlestown Navy Yard, next to the property of the USS Constitution Museum. The museum presents a fascinating history of the ship and many interesting exhibits about life in the U.S. Navy, from Colonial times to the present. The museum hosts many special events, and it is designed to be fun and welcoming to children. Tours of the ship itself are hosted by Navy personnel on a regular schedule. The tours include the spar deck, gun deck and berth deck.
Hours: Museum is open daily 10am - 5pm except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. The Ship is open for tours Tuesday to Sunday, 10am - 6pm, and is closed Mondays, MLK Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
Museum Admission (suggested): Adults $10-15, Children $5-10. Thank you for supporting us.

The Freedom Trail

Boston's Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile walk connecting 16 of the country's most significant historic sites linked to the American Revolution. Great for all ages and for groups. Specialty tours of Pirates and Patriots, African American Patriots, Historic Pub Crawl, and the Historic Holiday Stroll are offered throughout the year and seasonally.
Freedom Trail visitor information centers are located at Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, and the Charlestown Navy Yard. - Directions and Parking
