Rain may seem like bad news, but the good news? There’s a great history museum in Concord to visit
Don’t despair when you see those raindrops hitting your window panes: It just means it’s time for a visit to the Concord Museum. The museum’s 16 galleries and special exhibition take about an hour or two to explore, and your kids will enjoy scavenger hunts and interactive stations along the way as well as items in the April 19, 1775 gallery like powder horns, muskets and the lantern used during Paul Revere’s midnight ride. That gallery also features a digital map that takes viewers through that historic day in Concord, MA, where the “shot heard round the world” was heard. Other items included in the museum’s vast collections include a flute, walking stick, and a desk owned by Henry Thoreau.
