Experience the fourth annual Eric Pape fine art exhibition at the Hammond Castle Museum. This special exhibit showcases a remarkable collection of pen-and-ink illustrations by renowned artist Eric Pape, many of which were rediscovered in his locked studio decades after his death and have not been publicly displayed for over a century.
The exhibition features 73 restored works on loan from photographer and collector Bruce Haley, along with additional pieces from the private collection of Dr. Gregory Conn. Pape’s illustrations for literary classics such as The Arabian Nights, Rip Van Winkle, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Notre-Dame de Paris are among the highlights.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to view “The Wireless Naval Battle of Gloucester Bay,” the only surviving mural by Eric Pape, on permanent display inside the museum.
