PMC Winter Cycle 2026

Join us for a special screening of the short documentary We Are Made from the Land: Protecting the Seal River Watershed, part of the exhibition Knowing Nature: Stories of the Boreal Forest. The film highlights the Seal River Watershed Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (IPCA) Initiative—one of the largest land protection efforts in the world, located in the heart of Manitoba’s boreal forest.

Hear personal stories of the Indigenous Dene and Cree Nations, exploring the trauma of historic land separation and the healing power of collective action to protect and preserve their ancestral lands.

Henry Knox: Presentation and Cannon Firing

His compositions have featured in films such as Un Traductor (2018) and Initials S.G. (2019), as well as advertisements for Apple and Sky. He’s collaborated with David Crosby, creating scores including the documentary Remember My Name (2019), and his works have been reimagined by the WDR Big Band of Cologne and commissioned by the Cello Biennale for the Metropole.

Laurance’s music extends to dance collaborations worldwide, including Alvin Ailey’s Hope Boykin, Matthew Bourne’s Adventures in Motion Pictures, Phoenix Dance, Northern Ballet Theatre, and the English National Ballet.
