Plymouth Visitor Information Center

Upon your arrival in Plymouth, Massachusetts, one of your first places to visit should be the Visitor Information Center on Water Street, located at the Rotary across the street from Plymouth Harbor. The Center contains a wealth of information and a very friendly staff to help you navigate your way around “America's Hometown”.

At the Information Center you may pick up brochures about attractions, restaurants, shopping, and lodging, find out the latest schedules on special events and pick up our Dining and Activities Guide that will tell you about great places to shop and eat!

Birthplace of the American Dream

Today, visitors to Quincy can tour the birthplaces of both John Adams and John Quincy Adams as well as the Adams Mansion, the Summer White House for both presidents and home to their descendants until the early 20 th century. Other historic sites include United First Parish Church - where both Adams presidents and their wives are buried - historic Hancock Cemetery and the Dorothy Quincy Homestead, the childhood home of John Hancock's wife, Dorothy Quincy As the birthplace of two presidents and John Hancock, Quincy has long been recognized for the pivotal role her native sons and daughters played in the fight for American independence.
