An Inn By The Sea. The Wauwinet’s unique location, with frontage on both the Atlantic Ocean and Nantucket Bay, began welcoming overnight guests as far back as 1876. With a determination to maintain The Wauwinet’s distinct heritage, the hotel undertook a comprehensive renovation that virtually rebuilt the inn’s 35 guest rooms foundation up. It is the island’s only Relais & Chateaux member. The inn’s restaurant, TOPPER’S, has earned numerous awards including Wine Spectator’s “Grand Award.” The two indoor dining rooms seat a total of 84 and offer an understated but sophisticated décor.
